Foundation Purpose

The Foundation is organized exclusively for charitable, educational, research and scientific purposes as outlined in the Articles of Incorporation, but more specifically to provide for the memory of and the fraternal association of all past and current members of the 95th Division.

More specifically, as the Foundation Chairman, the responsibilities of the Foundation Officers are generally as follows;

Maintain the 95th’s monuments/plaques in the U.S. These include but are not limited to the following:

  1. 95th Monument Fort Benning, GA – on the Walk of Honor
  2. 95th Monument at Fort Indiantown Gap, PA
  3. 95th Monument at Camp Swift, TX
  4. 95th Memorial Museum at Fort Sill, OK

Fundraising.

Further the Legacy of the 95th Division and specifically The Iron Men of Metz.

Manage the Foundation’s scholarship program.

Creation of a Virtual Library which continues to pick up steam. This includes digital projects, veteran interviews, Mike & Marsha Flora’s history film, etc. These are all avenues for future relevance to create and maintain.

95th Division Foundation Mission Statement

The 95th Division Foundation is a 501.3 c nonprofit organization. Its purpose is to maintain the 95th Division Memorial and its monuments and preserve the history and legacy of the 95th Division. Annually, the 95th Division Foundation awards a scholarship to a student who is a descendant of a 95th Division soldier.

95th Infantry Division Killed in Action (KIA)

These marble tablets enshrine the Roll of Honor of the 95th Infantry Division, a record of the soldiers who were killed in action or died of wounds in 1944 and 1945. These tablets are on permanent display at the 95th Division Foundation Memorial at Fort Sill in Lawton, OK.

Travels of The 95th

The Odyssey Map

The Odyssey Map, which represents the travels of the 95th Infantry Division, was created by Master Sergeant Richard E. Clark, the unit’s official mapmaker, in 1946.

The Victory Magazine

Post WWII 95th Infantry Division Publication

The Victory Magazine was published by the Public Relations Office of the 95th Infantry Division in 1945 and was printed in Paris, France. It serves as a photographic record of the division’s combat achievements in their advance through Europe in 1944 and 1945.
